This site is dedicated to the memory of Bethany Nardo.

Bethany was my friend. We met when we were both recovering from cancer treatment. We were both newly married and had been treated at the same hospital. Jo's Trust was a part of our mutual experience and we came involved in different ways. We lived near each other and would meet with other Jo's girls, or just us, for coffee or dinner (and too much Rosé) along with laughter, gossip and support (and shoe shopping). She was a shining light to many - giving good practical advice and support in her typical pragmatic way. She was not one for too much sentiment or platitudes but would always be kind and sympathetic at just the right moment. But we also talked honestly about our own issues, our dreams and goals too. We both appreciated having a friend who knew exactly the indignities of cervical cancer and how it affected ourselves and our loved ones. She was funny and stylish and self deprecating - one of my fondest memories was when we had a photoshoot and she kept trying to pout and ended up blowing raspberries and making faces and we laughed so much. But the photos ended up being beautiful and full of character and Bethany shone through. She will be missed by many - by her close family, by her loving and supportive husband Stefano, by her friends and by those involved with Jo's Trust. But she made all of our lives richer and she will be remembered with much love for that. Zoë
